Don't you remember?
Why you should keep track records
I don’t know about you but I’m always in a waiting season.
Some years back, all my friends got into University before me, so I waited to get into Uni.
Then I got into Uni and waited to get a job after graduation. After I got a job, I waited to get promoted so that my salary could increase.
Then that happened, and I started to desire more out of a job. I remember going to House of Prayer in Lagos on a particular day. I was so burdened about my job that day, and I had this song “Confident” by Steffany Gretzinger on replay.
I got a prophetic word from someone about my next job that same day but guess what, I left this job after just 6 months and waited for almost 2 years for my next one.
Beyond jobs, I’ve waited for many other things - for a relationship, for my fitness to translate into a fitter body, for interpretation of my dreams, for my Global Talent visa and so much more!
What I’ve learnt with my journey is that there’s always something to wait and long for, but that’s not why I’m sending you this note today.
The real reason I’m sending this is to remind you of the importance of keeping track records.
For all the things I’ve wait for and ended up getting, I soon forget how God came through when it’s time to wait for the next thing.
Which reminds me of a video I watched recently where the preacher said:
when it was time for Junior WAEC, you prayed like you were going to die, you passed
when it came to WAEC, you prayed, you passed
you were worried you won’t enter school, you entered (this particular one hit me because I waited for this)
you were worried you won’t marry, you married
you were worried you won’t have children, you have
you are still worried
so this is the biblical diagnosis - are you still slow to perceive and to understand?
at what point will the faithfulness of God in your past become a weapon for the future?
God who delivered the lion and the bear to my hands will deliver Goliath
I have seen a prophetic pattern in my life. I don’t have to worry
I have something, something that works
God is dependable!
So this is for you if you’re waiting for anything…
Think back to the times you thought somethings will never happen in your life and they did.
Now, use that as a weapon. The fact that God came through in the past should remind you that He has a track record of keeping His word.
He will come through again.

Gosh! I'm in what feels like a double waiting season and God in His deep love and mercy be sending me reminders like this post. Thank you so much Mo'
I am learning how praise is a powerful part of overcoming in a waiting season. You see that continued worship when external circumstances do not support what the Lord has said to us? It is a game changer. Not only does it show a lover's heart vs. transactional relationship with God, I have experienced Him open things beyond my imagination and show Himself strong on my behalf.
Thank you for this
